Meeting the Cousins

This weekend Isaiah got to meet his cousins for the first time. This is my oldest nephew, Brett, when he was born, I was the first one to hold him besides his parents. Now it was his turn to be the first of his brothers and sisters to hold our son. All four of my nieces and nephews with Isaiah.
The three boys...
The girls were pretty happy to meet Isaiah too! They really like babies!

Vistors for Isaiah

It's been a lot of fun having different friends stop by our home to visit our little Isaiah. Thank you for all the treats and gifts too!

First Night Home

Sleeping with MommyCoosing with Daddy
All tucked in

Bringing Home Isaiah

Getting ready to take Isaiah home from the hospital was so exciting! We got him all loaded up in his car seat and made sure to capture this special moment as best as we could. What a fun moment in time; one we having been waiting for. Here's Isaiah very alert and all ready to go home.
My mom and twin sisters were waiting at our home to celebrate Isaiah coming home. It was so fun!

My mom stayed with us our first night home. It made me feel just a little better knowing she was close by if I needed her...and of course, it doesn't hurt that she's got 35 years of nursing experience :)

Proud Mama

Soooo content with her little baby boy... Mommy and Daddy with baby Isaiah

Isaiah's Visitors

It was so fun to have some friends stop by to see us while we were staying in the hospital. Thanks to everyone who visited. It makes the whole experience so fun and memorable! Here are my "Tuesday Morning Girls!" Meghan and Susanne were so thoughtful to visit mommy on Tuesday morning and bring up an ice blended latte, plus brought a cute giraffe and balloon for Isaiah
Andrea and Jaxon Knick were so excited to meet and hold Isaiah. They have been waiting to meet him for a long time!
Mommy's good friend and college roommate, Karessa Arbuckle, was able to stop by after working her night shift at the hospital. It was great to have a visitor so early in the morning since we were all awake.
Shelly A. stopped by too! That was so much fun. I even tried to stop her when she was leaving by throwing my hands up in the air.

Meeting my family

The day I was born I got to spend lots of time with my mommy and daddy and I got to meet all of my aunts, uncles and grandparents.Grandpa and Grandma came up to meet me when I was only a few hours old. I didn't cry at all when they were there visiting.
Auntie Jane was sooooooo excited to see me! She couldn't stop smiling at me :)Uncle Steve came up to see me and brought me my first DQ ice cream cake. It even said "Happy Birthday Isaiah!" I think Uncle Steve really likes me :)THEN, my Aunt Betty surprised everyone and drove up from Minneapolis to meet me!! Isn't she cool!! Auntie Jodi and Aunt Liz came to see me too! They sure thought I was special!

Aunt Julie arrived from Colorado and came straight to the hospital to meet me. She stayed a long time and held me the whole time she was there. My great-aunt Kathy came to see me too! She was so happy to meet me.

The Day according to Isaiah

As you may know by now we had a very eventful day yesterday. Isaiah would like to walk you through it a little from his perspective. Well here we go:

The day started out real great. Mommy was relaxing and I got to just lay down and relax too. I like it best when mommy is just laying down.

The next thing I knew I was upside down and boucing up and down. Apparently Daddy took Mommy for a walk to try and get this labor thing going.

I decided to stay put for awhile because Mommy and Daddy were celebrating their Anniversary, so they were very happy. Mommy got Daddy a new BBQ Grill and Daddy got Mommy a new DVD/Digital Video Camera so she could record every minute of my life.

The next couple hours my whole world changed. The walls around me started squeezing in on me over and over every couple of minutes. Then I was getting pushed toward my head. My head got squished through a small area and next thing I knew it was cold and there were lights and I was screaming. We have some pictures of this but I don't think Daddy will let me show them on the Blog

This is right after I was delivered. I was cold and scared but the Nurse took good care of me, got me cleaned up and warmed up under the heater. They said my skin color really began to show quickly.

All I wanted to do was relax and get warm but Auntie Lisa was taking pictures and Daddy and the nurse were holding me up. why can't they just let me get dressed and warm and bundled up.

My daddy's hands are so much bigger than mine, but I got a good hold on him here.

This is mommy after I came out and she still has a smile on her face. The doctor said she was a natural at childbirth. I guess I will have lots of little brothers and sisters soon.

Here I am with my Daddy. My Nanny says I look just like him when he was a baby, but looking at his face here... I don't see it. Big nose, bushy eyebrows... Nanny are you sure that is what I am going to look like? Well, I was happy to meet him and finally get to see what he looked like. (I think he was happy too)

Here I am all curled up with Mommy. She was in the hospital all night and all day and she still looks beautiful. There is no place better than in Mommy's arms.

And here I am with both Mommy and Daddy. One happy little family.

Well that's my story so far. Mommy and Daddy said the next blog will just be all pictures of me because I am so cute.

Early Anniversary Celebration

Before Dan's parents left for home they treated Dan and I to steaks out at Ten Mile Lake Steakhouse for our 2 year anniversary, June 23rd . It was great to spend some time together and to enjoy a nice dinner without a baby!
After dinner we went out to my parents house for coffee and to get a picture of all of us before Jack or Jill arrives (and NO those are not the names we are using).

Fun with the Nieces & Nephews

On Saturday all four of my nieces and nephews came over and made pizzas from scatch. They had so much fun, as did Dan and I. Then they went out front and played with the water hose, getting soaked. Ohh, to be a kid again.....
