Making Gingerbread Houses

Making gingerbread houses in one of my favorite holiday projects because it gets you into the spirit Christmas so quickly! Auntie Jane came over to help us make our houses one morning and we decorated till there was no candy left!
We all enjoyed ourselves!
Mr. Personality was having a ball "building" a house!
Miss Princess was more interested in eating the house!
Every "Christmas light" was put on with some thought

Minnesota has hardly seen snow this winter. On this particular day the kids saw a dusting and wanted to play in it, so they did!
All bundled up for a total playtime of 10 minutes. (Smile)
This is what we did while the older kids played, smiled at each other! My rosy-cheeked son is growing up and becoming more and more interactive each day.
Hello world.

Trimming the Tree

Decorating our tree this year was extra special because it was our first tree in our first home! Cozy and warm are we. We love it here and feel especially blessed this time of year.

Baptized into Christ's Family

On the 20th Benjamin was baptized into Christ's family at our home church. We were so privileged to have both Grandfather's baptize him and bring him to the Lord. We had a beautiful ceremony along with a great celebration following. We were so happy many of our friends and family could be together with us.

Ben at six weeks

Hello world. Cuddle time with Daddy still happens each night. Mommy gets some alone time and I get some time with my dad.
See me!
My brother really likes me a lot!
My big brother wants to be a fireman when he grows up, so for Halloween this year he dressed up as one.
My sister is as sneaky as a cat, so she dressed up as that! (so did my cousin Faith!)
My sister loves looking out the window with my mom is cooking.
A lot of times my big bro and sis fight over holding me. They really like me :)
I'm growing everyday!

Pumpkin Time!

Time for pumpkin carving! This was the kids' first time and they loved it!
Scooping out the seeds
Dig in there!
We got a great surprise too over the weekend~ cousins showed up!

Painting the pumpkins is always a good option for the little ones....until they paint themselves.

Carving out the faces was the most fun!

Almost finished....
FINISHED!!! With a tea light candle inside, this jack-o-lantern is ready for the front steps!

Our first week as a family of five

So as adjusting goes, I think we are doing well. It's only been a week, but the kids so far really like having Benjamin around. They like holding him and giving him "nose kisses". For the most part I haven't seen a lot of jealously which is good so far!

This is how our mornings start out right now, holding the baby
Isabelle especially LOVES holding baby Ben
Snuggle time with daddy in the evening is always on the docket
And, of course, when I need a moment alone, Daddy entertains, with getting Ben to sleep!

Cuddled up so sweet!
