Over the past few months we have been slowly redoing one of the rooms in the house. It used to be my dad and grandfather's workshop and now it is becoming a family room. This was some of the first demolitian it saw. My Dad's old office has become a part of the construction also. We decided to open up the adjoining wall, so there will be two ways to access the family room. Here's it is all opened up. Framing and some insulation went up last week. Things are moving along! Today the sheetrock was hung. What a difference! It is really starting to feel like a room now. Hard at workSteve, Brett and Dan - the hard workers (My Dad was there too but left before I could snap a picture) THANKS SO MUCH GUYS FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK!

Updates

This is how big our little baby girl is getting....I went into to check on her after laying her down and walked into her standing!! I can't believe she is getting so big and is almost into the walking phase. When I picked Isabelle up from bed this morning, she didn't want me or Dan to hold her. Guess who she wanted? Yep, Isaiah. She sat like this with him for about 15 minutes, watching Dora. Couldn't believe it.
Over the weekend we spent the day in Fargo supporting our good friends new foundation Elijah's Truth - an adoption foundation. They organized a large softball tourament and had a great turn out.
Dan played with a good team, playing 4 games in SCORCHING hot 95 degree weather. We were happy they played and watched 2 of the four games. I was really thankful that my sisters lived nearby, so we could get out of the heat for meals and naps. By the end of the day my sister's apartment became a playground...and the destruction began - spilling, tipping, drooling...basically destroying. A few minutes with no supervision...this is what he got into, after spreading a huge deck of cards all over the living room floor. Ohhh to live like a child :)
And a smile to end the day!

Here you go Izzy!

So I, Dan, was taking care of the kids this morning while Christine took a nap. Isaiah and I just ate a "2nd Breakfast" of raisin bran where Isaiah just wanted to pick out the raisins and leave the bran. (Don't we all sometimes) Isabelle woke up and joined us with some cheerios and I fed her some baby food peaches as well. She was not done with her cheerios when Isaiah and I finished so we left her to eat some cheerios in her chair. This is what I heard from across the room when I had my back to them. Isaiah says,"Here you go Izzy!" followed by,"Open!" I figured he was just helpig her with her cheerios... WRONG!

"Here you go Izzy!"

"OPEN!"

They Did It!
(after several failed attempts)

I was going to stop him at this point but look how much fun he was having!

And Isabelle was loving it too. Here, she took the spoon from his hand, giggling...

I wouldn't say she ate much, but they went through the rest of the peaches trying, as you can see here.

Fun in the Sun

On this HOT weekend we decided to head outside. Today we went to Detroit Lakes and enjoyed the lake and beach. Isaiah warmed up to playing in the sand and the water after a little coaxing
Isabelle was instantly a fish in the water. SHE LOVED IT!!
