In strong hands

Isaiah was sitting happily with grandpa Gundersen and we noticed how BIG his hands are compared to Isaiah's small body. Maybe someday Isaiah will be as big as he is...hopefully.

Waiting....

I'm waiting to meet my Papa and Nanny, cousins and Aunt and Uncle from New York who are coming for my baptism. I'll just sleep it out 'til you get here. Hurry up!!

1 Month Old

Everyone always says that time flies by with your newborn. I'm in agreement, but I feel like I have been able to enjoy so many of these first moments with Isaiah. The 2, 4 and 6 a.m feeding are tiring, but they are my special moments with him. I won't complain about them because they will be gone soon enough. Here is our little guy at one month. Growing so fast! He's now a little over 10 lbs when just a month ago he was born at 7.8 lbs
He's learning to crack a smile and happy to have a little alone time.
He's starting to enjoy being propped up in the corner of the sofa for an alternate position
SO alert, especially when he is with Daddy!
Let's not forget how much he likes being with his grandma and grandpa. They always have the right touch with getting him to relax.

I love my Dad & Mom

I love my time with my Dad and Mom...they can't get enough of me either.

Work weekend

It was a busy weekend out at my parents house with many of my siblings in town. All the men of the family got together to build a pole barn for my Dad and all of his equipment. Rick (Lisa husband), Steven (my brother), Dan (my husband), Ryan (Betty's boyfriend) and my Dad all worked from 7 am Saturday morning until 6:30 pm building. They got A LOT done in one day!

Content with Grandpa

My father, Isaiah's Bestfar, has just the right touch when he's holding Isaiah. There is lots of resemblence between the two of them. As he grows we'll see just who he looks like.

Little Vistors

This past weekend my family visited Fergus. Everyone was happy to get a chance to hold cousin/nephew Isaiah. With these guys around there's no need for babysitters!

Something beautiful

Ohhh to sleep like a baby. There's just something beautiful about sleeping babies. (maybe a bit of envy by sleep deprived mothers.) Hasn't he changed! So fun...
Out like a light....

First Bath

After a big ole mess Isaiah needed a bath...at 7 a.m. in the morning. So, here he is experiencing his first bath in his tub. This is before he started screaming!

Daddy Time

Like many babies, when Isaiah is hungry he looks for anything to satify his cravings. Just about anything will do.

Here is a common occurence of Dan trying to pacify our son for a few moments.

One of the many special moments Daddy gets to have with Isaiah.

2 Weeks old and Growing

One of the nurses at the hospital gave us a great idea to gauge how much Isaiah is growing. We will take a picture with him next to the same stuffed animal to show how much he has grown since the last picture. Here is the first installment at 2 weeks old.

"I'm THIS big!"

Mama Moments

My mama really loves me! She is working part-time again and relishes the moments that we have together....

Hangin' with Family

Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Steve came over to visit me this week. I sat with them so nicely for most of the time that they were here.

Elim Church

Last Sunday we were able to visit Elim church in Osakis where my dad has been serving as pastor for the past 1 and 1/2 years. My sister, Betty, and a friend of her's also joined us for the morning. After the service we all went out to lunch at a cute cafe in Osakis.

A little Outting

Isaiah and I took our first little outting together to Barringer's Coffee Shop along with my sisters and mother. It was great to get out and be with my girls. This is one of the first pictures we have together that is not from the hospital. Isaiah is 10 days old here.

Who Does He Look Like?

Since the day Isaiah was born we have been trying to figure out who he looks like. The other day my mother took out my baby books and Dan's mother sent some photos over the internet. So, here are the pictures that we have to compare.

A little tummy time

Even though babies eyes don't really focus for a few months, at 10 days old, Isaiah looks like he's trying. It's so fun to see him awake and alert!

Daddy's Little Mets Fan!!

If you know me, Dan, at all, then you know that I am a Huge Mets Fan. Well this weekend Isaiah got to join me in the family past time of watching the Mets.

On Sunday they were on National TV playing against the Yankees...
They won 3-1!!!!!

Yes!!!!

This means they won the season series against them 4 games to 2.
Give me Five!!

However, they were also on TV on Monday Night and they lost to the Cardinals 7-1.

NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

But it's OK. Daddy thinks I look cute in my Mets onesies anyway.

Thank you Nanny Karen for sending me these great outfits so I can enjoy the Mets more with my Daddy. I love you.
LETS GO METS!!!!!!

All Better!

Isaiah is doing so much better. Praise the Lord! We went to the doctor this morning and his bilirubin count was within the normal range again, so we were able to get rid of the UV machine. THANK GOODNESS! The biggest blessing was that Isaiah latched right on again after being on a bottle for the last 2 days. I was sooooo happy!! (and so was he!)
