Nobuko-san, our Japanese teacher, took the four of us to Matsushima. We have been to Matsushima four times now and each time we see something new. We really enjoy going there and seeing these beautiful rock islands. Everytime I see them, it just amazes me and makes me wonder how trees can grow out from rocks that are located in the ocean....

This is the famous Godaido Temple, located on it's own island. It was built in 800 AD.
This is the famous red bridge people can walk across to go from one island to another.
